Structure
The ANOC General Assembly, its supreme body, meets every two years. Its sessions are followed by a joint meeting with the IOC Executive Board.
In-between, ANOC is administered by its Executive Council, composed of the President, the Secretary General, the Treasurer, 5 Vice-Presidents representing the 5 Continental Associations and 3 members for each of the continents of Africa, America, Asia and Europe, and 2 members for Oceania, as well as a Chancellor. The President is elected by the General Assembly, and the Secretary General and the Treasurer are appointed by the Executive Council and ratified by the General Assembly.
The Vice-Presidents and members of the Executive Council of ANOC are appointed by their Continental Associations, and ratified by the General Assembly of ANOC .
The President is entitled to appoint one additional member of the Executive Council per continent.
There are at present 28 office bearers in ANOC's Executive Council.
ANOC has 9 permanent Commissions and a Working Group. It also has at present representatives in 10 Commissions and one Working Group of the IOC, as well as on the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS) and the World Anti‑Doping Agency (WADA).
